Yeah man. The quality and especially the technique and execution of those kinds of covers astounds me. i'd love to have been a fly on the wall and watch some of those old school masters create killer art like that back then.
Dark and lush and so fucking cool! I've seen some originals and those guys used a LOT of paint! Jesus! They're alot more jagged and lumpy than what we see in the reproduced versions. I guess the lumpy style photographed to better effect. Real seat of the pants commercial art tehniques back then, boy! No room for fuck ups!
